There’s nothing like a cool, late fall day. It’s too cold to go without a coat, but still warm enough for there to not be snow or dirty slush. Thanksgiving weekend was no exception. I recently got the opportunity to spend time with a family that I’ve been close with for the entirely of my 33.5 years of existence. Growing up, I spent quite a lot of time with the Barber family – so much so that I consider them part of my own family. I never had older siblings of my own, so it was a thrill growing up with them. There are five children, and my best friend is Amy – who you may remember as the mother to the ADORABLE Lilly Mae in her first birthday party photos. We invited Amy and her husband Chris’s dog in on the action, as well as took the opportunity to pose with a white 1967 Chevrolet pick-up truck.
We spent the afternoon in their backyard on photos, then we all went inside for delicious Thanksgiving leftovers, and to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers game.
Thanks so much to the Barber family for letting me share in their extended holiday, and for having me capture these lovely shots! 🙂
